Horseshoe II fire burned 70% of Chiricahuas


Informal word from the post-fire response meeting in Sierra Vista yesterday is that the Horseshoe II fire burned 70% of the Chiricahua Mountains. [right, Landsat image of the fire on June 15. Credit, NASA and USGS]

Rain gauges are being installed today and tomorrow to provide early warning of potential downslope flooding due to heavy rains.
